There are some core wisdoms that companies occasionally forget — at their peril. And that is why I’m delighted to introduce you to the newest member of our great IT Technician team: please say hello to Julien Mecoli!
Recently, I had the chance to chat with Julien to learn more about his experience and hobbies. Here is a snapshot of our conversation:
Can you tell me a bit about your background?
I have always been interested in computers, and have a degree in Computer Support that I completed at the Centre de formation des Nouvelles-Technologies in Saint-Thèrese, which is located very close to Montreal.
What was it about Devolutions that made you want to work here?
I had read some articles about Devolutions on the web, as well as in print newspapers. I had a very positive impression of the company.
What would you say are your top three strengths at work?
In my profession, patience and listening are essential. I am passionate about what I do, and I love to learn constantly, which is vital for a computer technician.
What tasks do you carry out in your job, and what are some of the tools you use?
My primary duties are to ensure that the computer equipment is in good condition so that each staff member has access to reliable, safe, and functional hardware.
What is your impression of working here?
The staff is kind and helpful, the atmosphere is focused yet relaxed, everyone is very motivated, and it feels like we are a big family. We work hard to surpass expectations, and we don’t want to let each other down.
What goals would you like to achieve at Devolutions?
My main goal in the company is to enhance employee productivity by providing the latest equipment and the greatest support and service.
On a personal note, what are some of your hobbies and interests?
I love all kinds of video games, especially FPS games and racing games. I also enjoy tennis and hockey.
